Behind CellaVie® stands FIRSTSWISSVENTURES AG, an independent Swiss family business that brings together tradition and the latest nutritional science. Our roots in the animal sector reach back to the year 2000. What drives us, though, isn’t the look back, it’s the responsibility for the health of tomorrow’s animals.

A Family Business With Its Own Signature

For more than two decades, Nicole and Daniel Waser have devoted themselves to animal nutrition. Daniel Waser founded Sparrow and CellaVie® and develops every formulation himself, from the choice of raw materials to the finished dosage. Not one of our products is a bought in private label with our name stuck on it.

In this industry that’s the exception. A large share of the brands on the shelf have the same standard formulations filled by the same contract manufacturers, and in the end they differ only in packaging and price. Anyone who develops in house can explain every ingredient and stand behind every amount.

As the next generation, Jamie Waser brings the drive of a digital native and online specialist, making this knowledge modern and accessible for pet parents. We don’t develop products for the market, we develop them for the animal.

Every Formulation Is Created in Our Own House

We don’t buy in finished formulations. Every CellaVie® formulation is developed by us, with a reason behind every component and every amount. That’s why we can tell you for each ingredient why it’s in there and why at that level, rather than pointing you to a contract manufacturer’s data sheet.

The advantage shows itself when something doesn’t fit: we change the formulation instead of waiting for a supplier to adjust its standard product.

We don’t rely on gut feeling, we rely on hard scientific data. Our core team is reinforced by first class external experts:

• Clemens Jehle (Dipl. Ing. Agr.): as a specialist in feed technology, he guarantees that our raw materials meet the highest quality standards and are processed to the best technological effect.
• Dr. rer. nat. Peter Damian Koeppel: as a renowned biochemist and immunologist, he contributes deep scientific expertise, particularly in the complex field of cell health and nucleotides.

In an industry so often driven by hype, we take a completely different route. Your animal’s health, seen as a whole, comes first with us. We don’t develop products because they sell well, we develop them because they do a functional job.

0% Bullshit > 100% Trust is no empty advertising slogan for us, it’s lived reality. We don’t simply put this motto on show, we run our entire business by it, with no ifs and no buts:

• Quality before price: we select every raw material without compromise, by its quality and its greatest benefit for the animals, and not by the cheapest purchase price. The quality of the raw material sets the price, not the price the quality of the raw material!
• Clean formulations: with us there are no fillers, no cheap bulking agents, no sugar and no unnecessary additives. Efficacy, evidence and results you can feel are what count.
• Responsibility for the environment: we look after nature. Our packaging is therefore made consistently from recycled material (such as our tins) or from environmentally friendly materials (our pouches). Strict waste separation is a matter of course in our operation.
• Green energy and digital first: sustainability reaches right into our technology. Our online shop is hosted on electricity from renewable sources, and in our business premises we work with our own solar power.
• Paperless wherever possible: internally we work almost entirely digitally. Where paper is unavoidable, we use recycled paper only.
